 Bob began playing blues in 1996 at Bellingham's "Blue Water Bistro" performing instrumental blues to enthusiastic crowds. Excited by the experience, he sought further instruction from one of Seattle's premier bass instructors, Steve Kim who encouraged Bob to incorporate jazz styles into his music. Becoming a founding member of the Groove Messengers was a natural progression in his musical journey.
